Kenya Customs & Documentation

We will make all the customs and border entries and prepare the necessary documents as needed in Kenya. These documents include original Logbook, KEBS pre-shipment inspection certificate and receipts required for the import and shipping process. The documents will be sent via DHL before the arrival of the ship to allow the clearing agent to initiate the procedure.

Clearing and Forwarding to Nairobi

We will clear and deliver your vehicle in Mombasa or up to Nairobi by car carriage. You can also request your vehicle to be cleared at Inland Container Depo (ICD) Nairobi instead of Mombasa.

Kenya does not allow the importation of cars that are beyond eight years so in 2025 your vehicle must not be older than 2018 from first UK registration.

Yes, if you are a disabled badge holder you can apply to Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) to clear a car duty free. Certain conditions must be met regarding the vehicle maximum engine capacity. Carluv has experience in clearing disabled badge holder duty free vehicles so let us know and we can advice.
Kenya does not allow importing of LHD vehicles but allows duty-free importation of an equivalent RHD vehicle for returning residents of a LHD country like USA.
